BlueScope congratulates all practices shortlisted for the 2025 NSW Architecture Awards, which once again showcase the talent, creativity and commitment of the architectural profession across the state.
As proud sponsors of the COLORBOND® Award for Steel Architecture, BlueScope extends a special congratulations to the practices recognised in this category for their innovative and inspiring use of steel:
- 1 Elizabeth by JPW – The Gadigal People of the Eora Nation
- Eco-House Leura by Marra + Yeh Architects – The Dharug and the Gundungurra People
- High Tide House by Ware Architects – The Arakwal Bumberlin People of the Bundjalung Nation
- Greybox by Welsh + Major – The Dunghutti People
Each project demonstrates the versatility and aesthetic potential of steel in contemporary Australian architecture, whether through refined detailing, expressive structural solutions, or the seamless integration of steel within diverse material palettes and environments.
“These shortlisted projects show what’s possible when material and design come together with purpose,” said Michelle Gissel, Marketing Manager – Commercial, Civil & Industrial at BlueScope. “We’re proud to support this award and to celebrate the architects who continue to challenge expectations and push the boundaries of what steel can do.”
Presented by the Australian Institute of Architects, the annual NSW Architecture Awards celebrate design excellence across a wide range of project types – from homes and urban spaces to education, community hubs, commercial and public buildings. With over 280 entries across 13 categories, this year’s awards reflect the strength and diversity of the architectural profession in NSW.
Winners will be announced at the official awards ceremony on Friday 20 June at ILLUMINA Sydney.
